Newlyweds Bret (Tom Brown) and Margie (Nan Grey) both aspire to show-biz careers: he wants to be a songwriter, while she is desirous of becoming a radio scripter. Inevitably, Bret and Margie quarrel and break up, only to be reunited by their efforts to snag "banana king" Gomez (Mischa Auer) for a lucrative radio contract. The old 1920s tune "Margie" is heard throughout the proceedings, frequently fitted out with ludicrous new lyrics ("Bananas! We're Always Thikin' of Bananas!" etc.) by a zany songwriting team (Eddie Quillan and Wally Vernon).

Studio head Joe Mulholland promises his dying producer and mentor, Saul Gritz, to adapt a popular sex manual into a film, despite his better judgment. Unable to figure out how to turn the nonfiction book into a narrative movie, Mulholland enlists the services of Herb Dorman, a screenwriter of popular romantic films with a bad marriage, and volatile director Sid Spokane to help him create a movie.

Andy, Sandy, Nat and Shah head out to the forest edge for a night of scientific adventure. They were hanging out in the tent when suddenly, they hear a loud crash. Nat brings home a metal sphere that he found in the forest and shows it to the Sky Shakers. Meanwhile, a furry creature makes its way to Andy's house in search of the sphere that Nat found. Little did anyone know that a group of Henchmen have just landed in the forest of Singapore, in search of the furry creature.
